Monday's Makes {11/4}
I hope you had a wonderful weekend.
Today's Monday's Makes is all about scrappy blankets.
I like to document them here, so I can get inspired to work on them and to see my progress.
First is my DK Jelly Roll blanket, I can't wait to add all those mini skeins
from Frederick Fiber Fest.
My Favourite Blanket is a pattern by Kay Jones.
She shared the pattern on the Bakery Bears YouTube channel last year.
This is my second one. You hold two strands of fingering weight yarn together.
It is a great stash buster for those partial fingering weight skeins.
I call this blanket my Cozy Sock blanket.
It has been on my needles for a while now. I do enjoy adding a few squares when inspiration strikes.
I am using size 2 needles and have 115 squares.
This is my second mitered square blanket.
This blanket is knit with two heavier weight yarns together.
I have DK and Worsted weight partial skeins in there. I am using size 10 needles.
I call this my Scrappy Garter Throw.
I love how fast this one is knitting up.
My Granny Stripe blanket, crocheted with lots of different bits of fingering weight yarn.
I am using a D hook.
I am considering leaving the ends and making them into fringe.
I saw it on Amy of Noble Character Crafts YouTube channel.
She did that on her scrappy Excavation blanket.
My Shiny Scrappy Granny Stripe blanket.
I am holding one strand of fingering weight bare yarn with Lurex (for the sparkle)
and fingering weight yarn together. I am using a E hook.
My last crochet blanket was started in August.
I am using two strands of fingering weight yarn together and using a size G hook.
It is a corner to corner pattern and I hope to make it throw size for the couch.
Do you have any scrappy projects/blankets on the go?
I would love to hear all about them.
Happy Creating,
Angela
