Happy December {12/2}
I am having a lot of feelings about the last month of the year.
Some that are joyous and some that aren't.
I am feeling like it is a time to look inward, tend to my home, and create a cozy haven.
I would like to create a space for inspiration and new endeavors.
Today is the second day of opening yarn advent calendars.
I decided to get two 12 day calendars with 10 gram mini skeins.
I chose Rising Tide Fiber Co with a Candyland theme,
and
Our Yarny World Designs Old Fashioned Christmas Candy {pictured}.
I am still trying to decide what project I want to make.
At first I was thinking about making a DK weight mitered square blanket, but now
I have a few other patterns on my radar like these...
Pirouette Shawl by Purl Soho and the Cosy Country Advent Scarf {Ravelry Link}
I tell myself every year that I only need one self-striping advent skein, but
every year I order both the Freckled Whimsy and The Cozy Knitter.
I also have a tea advent from New English Teas.
It has great packaging and every day has two tea bags.
I do think I would like my next tea advent to have more variety.
We light an advent candle at dinner every evening to count down the days leading up to Christmas.
In years past, we would celebrate St. Nicholas day, but this year our children will not be home.
Do you have any traditions this season?
I would love to hear all about them.
Wishing you a wonderful week.
Happy Creating,
Angela
