Yarn Along April

Happy Wednesday!  I love Yarn Along day!

I always look forward to seeing what everyone is making!

Here's a picture of my current wips in rotation......(there is more in project bags waiting)

A small cuff beginning in Lavender Lune Yarn Co. Demelza colorway. I love it!

The beautiful shawl in the seafoam and gray color is a test knit for DoleValleyGirlKnits called the Surf Shawl and will be released soon!  The yarn is Cascade Ultra Pima Fine cotton yarn in Seafoam and Silver.

My Michigan Avenue Wrap by Molly Klein Design is coming along. I am working on the sixth color stripe. I think I am going to do 10! The yarn is my Willow Tree Yarn Casual DK base.

I am getting ready to cast on a new test knit shawl/wrap with the light green colorway, Impression. It will be a beautifully cabled and textured sport weight shawl. I can't wait to get this on the needles.

I have been reading, The Masterpiece by Francine Rivers when I have a few minutes of time.

What are you making and/or reading this week?

  1. Those shawls are very pretty. I am curious about the one on bottom - how it will look when finished. I'm sure it will be beautiful. I have a couple of books by Francine Rivers yet to read, and I've seen a movie version of The Last Sin Eater.

    1. Thanks so much, Deborah! I think the lace is going to block out beautifully! My favorite Francine Rivers book is, Redeeming Love. I haven't seen the movie. I will check it out!

    1. Thank you so much! I seem to be in a blue color mood lately! I have been wanting to make a Pebble Beach shawl. What color are you making it? I hope you are enjoying your book! Happy Spring to you! :)

    2. I'm using Stonehedge Fiber Mill's Crazy Loaf so it's changing color as I go along . .

    3. I love that it changes colors! That is going to make your Pebble Beach shawl even more interesting.

  3. Love your knits! I bought this book and it's on my nightstand, but I have 2 that I'm trying to finish first - a fiction and a non-fiction. I DO like Francine!

    1. Thank you so much! I am so glad you will be reading it too! I am about 3/4 of the way through now and really enjoying the story. What type of non-fiction are you reading?

    2. I'm not so good with non-fiction. I read Carl Lentz "Own The Moment" that I bought after I heard him speak. I also bought Bobbi Houston's "Stay The Path", but I'm tired and having trouble staying with it. Maybe when I'm more rested! I need to line up some non-fiction and just keep working on it. I actually enjoyed The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up, although you sure couldn't tell it right now! I'll have to read back through and see what you read. I've missed yarn along and was often making a list of books to look for at the library

    3. I make a list too from all the book recommendations from Yarn along! It takes me longer to read a non-fiction book probably because I read at night and usually fall asleep after a page or two. :)
