Monday's Motivation

Happy Monday!

I hope your day is going well!

I have been doing a lot of thinking about getting my morning routine.
Do you have a morning routine?

As we all do, I have a lot to get done in a day. I have goals to take care of my family,
my home, myself and my business. I found that I would take care of everything on my goal list, but me. The end of the day would find me feeling exhausted and totally depleted. It was time to make a change.

I am horrible about drinking enough water. Anyone with me?!
I drink tons of coffee all....day....long!
I started by drinking one of these 20 oz. bottles a day, then two and now I
am up to three a day! I feel much better just being hydrated and what it has done for my skin is amazing.

Next, I joined a 21 day Pilates challenge from The Balanced Life and I have been hooked ever since. I have joined the Sisterhood community and love it!
Some of the workouts are around 10 minutes a day.  I told myself I can do anything for ten minutes.
And so can you!  I know you can!
I did have to do some modifications and sometimes I still do. I tell myself there is no shame in modifications!

I find that when I drink my water and take the time to be on my mat, I have more energy and that makes it so much easier to get my goals done for the day. I don't feel exhausted at the end of the day and I have been sleeping so much better.

I used to put myself last and now I know that when I take care of me, I can take care of all the other things I need to in my day!

Do you take some time each day for you? Do you make some time for the things you love? What are some of the things you love to do?  What does your morning routine look like?

I hope your week is off to a fantastic start!

  1. You are so right about the water. I find that adding a little bit of lemon juice helps me to drink more water. I have also lost some weight since I quit drinking tea and sodas. I get one cup of coffee in the morning and one glass of juice during the day, and the rest is water.

    1. Way to go with drinking all that water! Lemon juice is a great idea. I am thinking about adding cucumber and mint during the summer, it looks so refreshing.
